I offer private consultancy for collectors, institutions, and researchers seeking rare and antiquarian books, prints, and archival material.

My academic training and professional work are rooted in languages and literature.

I work fluently with sources in Spanish and French and read across multiple European languages commonly encountered in early modern books and dealer catalogues. This allows me to research original texts, interpret title pages and marginalia, and assess historical references without relying on summaries or secondary translations.

Working with European Dealers

I regularly work with antiquarian dealers and specialists across Europe and the United States.

This includes communicating directly with dealers in their native languages, reviewing catalogues and private offers, verifying bibliographic details, and navigating pricing, condition questions, and export considerations. I understand the rhythms and expectations of the European rare book trade and act as a knowledgeable intermediary on behalf of my clients.
